Cardi B Shuts Down Serendipity 3 NYC For Launch Of Chocolate Whipshots

Cardi B turned Times Square into her very own chocolate factory on Thursday night (June 26) to celebrate the launch of her latest Whipshots flavor, Chocolate. The rap superstar and budding businesswoman took over Serendipity 3 for an exclusive event that felt like a dessert bar, speakeasy, and VIP girls’ night out.

From the beginning, the room was dripping in decadence as a few new songs from Cardi’s forthcoming album Am I The Drama? played in the background. A curated list of guests were treated to Hennessy-infused creamery cocktails, each one topped with a fluffy swirl of Cardi’s new Whipshots Chocolate, which by the way, doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Bardi Gang showed up as well as they banged on Serendipity’s windows in hopes to get a wave from Cardi— which she happily delivered.

As for the “Outside” rapper, she wasn’t just hosting the event, she was also put to work. At one point, she got behind the bar with Serendipity 3 mixologist Joe Calderone to unveil three custom cocktails now available at the Times Square and Upper East Side locations. There was Cardi’s Coco Colada, Cardi’s Bodak Shake, and the Cardi’s Spike Frrrozen Hot Chocolate — all topped with the 10% ABV, non-dairy treat and a smooth splash of Henny.

In signature Cardi fashion, there was also a hilarious moment when Calderone handed her edible money. She took a bite, paused for a moment, then quipped to VIBE that it tasted like “the bread at church” when asked what her tastebuds were thinking. The room cracked up, because only Cardi could make a communion reference in the middle of a party.

Before the night wrapped, guests were treated to luxe gift bags packed with goodies. Inside included, two bottles of the brand-new Whipshots Chocolate, a full Cardi Frrrozen Hot Chocolate kit, mini bottles of Hennessy, and other sweet surprises.

Even if you weren’t in the room, the celebration isn’t over. Cardi’s cocktail creations will be available all summer long at Serendipity 3’s NYC locations as part of the first-ever Whipshop experience. Just bring your sweet tooth and ID.
