‘Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze-hen’ Reveals Additional Cast, Theme Song, Main Trailer

The MAPPA Panel at Anime Expo 2025 revealed additional cast, the theme song, poster visual (pictured), and main trailer for the Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze-hen (Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc) on Friday. The movie sequel adapting Tatsuki Fujimoto’s action fantasy manga will premiere in theaters in Japan on September 19.

Nomo: Kenji Akabane (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto)

Mysterious Man: Kenji Nomura (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu)

Typhoon Devil: Eri Kitamura (Yofukashi no Uta)

Singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu (Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka) is returning to perform the theme song “IRIS OUT,” previewed in the main trailer below.

The television anime aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2022. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles and subsequently streamed an English dub.

Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover) is helming the anime at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko (Vinland Saga) is penning the script. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu) is designing the characters and Kensuke Ushio (Dandadan) is composing the music.

Fujimoto began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in December 2018, ending the first part with 97 chapters in December 2020. The second part began in Shounen Jump+ in July 2022. Shueisha published the 20th volume on April 4, with the 21th volume scheduled for a July 4 release.

VIZ Media simulpublishes the manga on its Shounen Jump website and released the 18th volume on May 6, with the 19th volume scheduled for an October 7 release. Shueisha’s Manga Plus service also simulpublishes the manga in English, Spanish, Thai, French, and Portuguese.
