Poll: Are You Sold on Ghost of Yotei?

Image: Push SquareThanks to its dedicated State of Play showing, we now have a much better understanding of what Ghost of Yotei’s trying to achieve, from both a sequel perspective and as a modern open world adventure.

The broadcast, which lasted roughly 20 minutes, gave us an in-depth look at all kinds of gameplay systems and mechanics. We think the PS5 exclusive is looking absolutely tip top, but what are your thoughts on this upcoming PS5 exclusive?

It may sound rather obvious, but Sucker Punch is clearly trying to build upon Ghost of Tsushima with this follow-up. Everything we’ve seen so far is basically an expansion of what Jin’s adventure entailed, from storytelling and exploration, to combat and character progression.

But for some, that may not be enough to ignite their hype. Yotei is shaping up to be a refinement of an existing formula; it’s not looking to reinvent the open world wheel or pivot away from what made Tshushima a hit. Evolution instead of revolution, and all that.
