How many points did Bronny James score today? Full stats, results, highlights from Lakers vs. Mavericks Summer League
Bronny James is still months away from the start of his sophomore campaign. The work starts on Thursday for the 20-year-old Lakers guard, though, who readies for yet another close-up: a duel with the Mavericks and their first-year standout, Cooper Flagg.
For James, it’s business as usual. James’ maiden season was filled with the usual dramaticsâdunks, crossovers, cheers, and jeers. He happened to do so with a major spotlight on him.
James didn’t show much during NBA play. But he found his form in the G-League, averaging 21.4 points, 5.4 assists, and 5.2 rebounds in 11 games.Â
Could he recreate those displays against Flagg and Dallas on Thursday night?

James’ offensive toils followed him in the second half. He failed to record a point, attempting just three shots across the final 20 minutes of action. He showed an aversion to getting to the rack â just one of his eight field goal attempts came at the rim.
Nevertheless, the game was in James’ hands with the clock dwindling. He had a chance to fire off a potential triple to strike down Flagg and the Mavericks in the game’s final seconds. Unfortunately for him and his teammates, James’ attempt strayed wide, resigning Los Angeles to a two-point defeat.
