The judgeās harsh words ā which mimicked Mariah Careyās viral āI donāt know herā snub ā were delivered the night before Lively was scheduled to be deposed, when Baldoniās lawyer Kevin Fritz said he believed Lively was being given āspecial treatment simply because sheās a celebrity.ā
However, the judge stopped Fritz from making such āaccusations,ā calling it a āserious issue.ā
āThere are problems that the court is trying to deal with and itās helpful for me if you frame it in language and words that the court is accustomed to. It does not help me ā and itās not helped me in this case ā to start throwing around accusations,ā he said.

āIām well aware that [Baldoni] is a person of high profile. So is [Lively],ā he continued. āI have told you before, before I came into this case, I didnāt know who your client was, I did not know who the plaintiff was. Their names were unknown to me.ā
āAs far as Iām concerned, whether they have celebrity at the moment or not is irrelevant. Celebrity, as you know, and everybody knows, can be fleeting. Itās also not relevant to the court.ā
āSo, your point is well taken that celebrity is irrelevant. Now letās make it irrelevant. We donāt need to talk about it,ā he finished.
Reps for Lively, Baldoni and Liman didnāt immediately respond to Page Sixās requests for comment.
