Welcome to our Pure Xbox guide for Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live! As we’re now closing in on Geoff Keighley’s big August event, we’re going to go over the exact date, length and start times for the upcoming livestream – alongside some of what we can expect to see during Gamescom’s ONL showcase.

We also have some official Xbox broadcasts to come following Opening Night Live, but this guide will purely focus on Geoff Keighley’s opening event. For more info on those separate Microsoft livestreams, check out the link down below.

Here’s everything you need to know about Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live:

Gamescom Opening Night Live for 2025 takes place on Tuesday, August 19th.

The Opening Night Live showcase for Gamescom 2025 goes ahead at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST on August 19th.

Despite Microsoft hosting its own Gamescom 2025 broadcasts, Xbox is confirmed to be at Opening Night Live. The Activision team will be kicking off the event with the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

While Geoff is keeping most of his cards close to his chest, The Game Awards host has just announced another title that will be present at Gamescom ONL. Following its Summer Game Fest reveal in June, Capcom will be returning with another look at Resident Evil Requiem during the event.

Alongside these two titles, Silent Hill F, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion and The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin have been confirmed for the show by their respective publishers.

This year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase will run for about two hours, which is in-line with recent ONL livestreams.

Gamescom’s ONL show will be available to watch live on both YouTube and Twitch. You can also join us here at Pure Xbox, where we’ll be hosting the event alongside a live chatroom for you to discuss all the news with the PX community – right as it happens.
