Carson Wentz signs with the Vikings
After spending the off-season looking for a new team, quarterback Carson Wentz finally signed with the Minnesota Vikings after their third preseason game.
In a corresponding move, the Vikings then traded QB Sam Howell to Eagles for a pair of draft picks. The Eagles needed some depth after Tanner McKee was sidelined with a finger injury, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson and rookie Kyle McCord failed to earn the backup job.
Wentz now joins Minnesota’s QB room led by second-year J.J. McCarthy. There’s also seven-year veteran Brett Rypien and rookie Max Brosmer in the room.
The former Eagles quarterback has traveled around quite a bit since leaving Philly, and most recently spent the 2024 season with the Chiefs — unfortunately for Wentz, we all know how that ended.
He’s faced off against the Eagles many times since her unceremonious departure, and will do so again if he stays with the Vikings. Jalen Hurts and Co. Will head to Minnesota for a Sunday after game on Oct. 19.
