‘Power’ Star Alix Lapri Arrested, Faces Child Cruelty And Disorderly Conduct Charges

Power Book II: Ghost star Alix Lapri was arrested in DeKalb County on Monday (Aug. 18) and booked on charges of disorderly conduct and cruelty to children in the third degree, WSB-TV 2 reports.

According to online jail records, Lapri — whose full name is Alexus Lapri Geier — was processed into DeKalb County Jail shortly before 5 P.M. last week and released just over 24 hours later. At this time, no official court documents have been made public to clarify the details of the incident.

While the charges raised immediate speculation online, her fellow Power co-star Michael Rainey Jr. was quick to defend her, commenting under a The Shade Room‘s repost of her mugshot. “On the real, y’all gotta start reading before commenting. She didn’t hurt any kids. Y’all are hoping that’s the case so bad. That’s crazy smh,” he wrote.

The 27-year-old actress has not yet publicly addressed the arrest.

The Atlanta native’s career began over a decade ago as a singer before getting into film and TV — landing roles alongside Gerard Butler and 50 Cent in the 2018 crime thriller Den of Thieves and in the TV series Read Between The Line, Red Band Society, and as “Effie” in the original Power TV series. She continued her role in the spin-off, Ghost, and was tangled in Tariq’s four seasons of complications. Ghost aired its final episode last October.
