Scott Wolf and estranged wife, Kelley, face off in court after she checked out of rehab
Scott Wolf and his estranged wife, Kelley Wolf, faced off in court, just days after she left rehab following an arrest.
The “Party of Five” actor, 57, and Kelley, 48, appeared before a Utah judge on Wednesday for a hearing on Scott’s motion for a protective order, according to court minutes obtained by Us Weekly.
Scott’s attorney Bart Johnson was also present, but due to the lack of legal counsel present for Kelley, the judge declined to rule on the matter of a full restraining order.
Per the outlet, Kelley was ordered to have her attorney “send the court a letter indicating that they are representing” her in the case, after which Scott “will be directed by the court to send money directly to that attorney” to pay for her lawyer’s retainer.

The judge in the case reportedly added that certain terms of the previous temporary protective order — which Scott filed for on Aug. 26 after his estranged wife was arrested for leaking his phone number via Instagram — will “remain the same.”
Per the Aug. 28 order, Kelley was barred from contacting Scott or their children — Jackson, 16, and Miller, 12, and daughter Lucy, 1 — and must stay at least 300 feet away from her former husband.
According to a source for People, however, the former spouses are now allowed to correspond via phone, according to the best interests of their children. The outlet’s source claimed that neither Scott nor Kelley is “required” to respond to each others’ attempts to communicate — particularly if “issues” arise amid their split and court proceedings.
People reported that the next hearing date will be Oct. 26, at which time Kelley must have retained a lawyer to represent her. Reps for Scott and Kelley did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment on the court appearance.

The latest development comes just days after Kelley checked into a rehab center and subsequently checked out on Tuesday after only two days. Kelley confirmed she’d left the facility in a call with Page Six the same day, adding that she was staying in an Arizona hotel and planning to check in to a different Utah facility in November.
She also told us she needs help for post-traumatic stress disorder — commonly known as PTSD — rather than treatment for addiction issues.
Scott was granted sole temporary custody on Aug. 26 after his estranged wife was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of misdemeanor electronic disclosure of personal identifying information and one count of misdemeanor electronic communications harassment.
The charges followed a public social media blitz that culminated in her sharing apparent private texts with one of her children, and Scott’s personal phone number.

Kelley appeared before a judge on Sept. 2, where she said she’d be checking into rehab “for a month,” and claimed she was “looking forward to” the experience. “My brother is taking me. It’s fantastic. It’s a great place,” she told the judge. “I recommended it all the time as a mental health professional myself.”
At the time, she was ordered to refrain from “any alcohol or narcotic drug or other controlled substance unless prescribed by a licensed medical practitioner” and not to attempt to contact any potential witnesses in the case.
The duo married in 2004 and subsequently welcomed their three children — Scott filed for divorce in June. Kelley has since been placed on two involuntary holds in Utah, one of which began with her being detained in an Instagram live stream.
The actor — who has accused his estranged wife of plotting to make “disturbing false” claims against him — initially filed for a restraining order in July, but later requested to have it dissolved. After she was released from jail on Aug. 28, Kelley was subsequently booted from a rented Airbnb on Sept. 1 after allegedly overstaying her time.
