Tyreek Hill landing spots: Chiefs, Steelers among best fits for Dolphins WR if traded
Tyreek Hill’s time in Vice City has been noteworthy, to say the least.
Since joining the Dolphins in 2022, Hill has established himself as one of football’s grandest talents in the X. Armed with a wide array of jinks and jukes, the Miami wideout tallied more than 4,300 yards in his first three seasons playing alongside Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle.
All good things must come to an end, though. And after falling short of the 1,000-yard mark in 2024, Hill looks to be approaching a fork in the road with the Dolphins.
Nothing is imminent regarding the 31-year-old, who continues to make his presence felt on the field. But he’s already expressed a willingness to part ways with his longtime employers when the time is right. As long as Miami continues to fall short of the Super Bowl aspirations it appeared to express when it brought in Hill, the West Alabama alum’s name will continue to float in trade whispers.

There is certain to be a bevy of suitors queueing up for Hill’s services if he’s made available. Here’s a look at five sides who could make a play for Hill in the event he is placed on the trade block in the next few weeks.
Tyreek Hill landing spotsKansas City ChiefsThe Chiefs aren’t quite in free-fall yet. But they’re not exactly in flow state, either. Kansas City dropped its first two games of the season and are lacking in pass-catching depth outside of Marquise Brown. Travis Kelce has declined precipitously in the past two seasons, while a supporting cast of Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster doesn’t invoke much fear into the heart of opposition defenses.
Rashee Rice will be back in a few weeks. But who knows where Andy Reid’s side will be in the standings when he does return? Patrick Mahomes hasn’t had a Grade-A talent out of the X since Hill’s exit. What better way to fill that void than with Hill himself, even if he isn’t quite the whirling dervish in the open field he once was?
Las Vegas RaidersAshton Jeanty, Brock Bowers, and Jakobi Meyers represent a solid enough trio of attacking threats. You can never have enough weapons, though.
Hill’s reputation as a high-volume target in explosive offenses precedes him. Meyers enjoyed a sterling campaign in 2024, eclipsing the 1,000-yard plateau for the first time in his career. And yet, he finished with just 70 more yards than Hill, who enjoyed his least productive season since his rookie year.
Las Vegas still needs to work out some of the kinks in its roster. But adding Hill into the mix could make for a captivating blend of talent, skill and speed. Geno Smith would have ample tools at his disposal, too.

Arizona CardinalsThe year is still young. But Arizona’s cast of offensive characters looks to have taken a step in the right direction in 2025. Trey McBride continues to justify his hulking contract figure with strong displays, while Marvin Harrison Jr. looks slated to take on a bigger role in Jonathan Gannon’s offense.
And yet, Arizona’s attack yearns for speed. Trey Benson has fury and fire in his legs. But the Cardinals haven’t had a burner in the pass-catching game since Brown.
Hill might be approaching the twilight of his career. But he still is one of the league’s most explosive wideouts. He would represent a nice change of pace from the steadier pass-catching exploits of McBride and Harrison.
Denver BroncosThe Broncos have long been known for their defensive chops. But their offense has developed fangs of their own in recent years.
Sean Payton has wasted little time rebuilding Denver’s attack after Russell Wilson’s lackluster stint with the franchise. Bo Nix and Courtland Sutton have struck up a quality rapport over the past two seasons, with the former posting historic numbers as a rookie and the latter landing a big-money contract for his efforts.
Payton is a known admirer of Hill. He’s also one of the foremost offensive minds of his generation, known to erect explosive offenses from ashes and embers. Hill’s best years might be behind him. But if anyone can get him fit and firing, it’s Payton, a tactician who has turned speed into success throughout his coaching career.
Pittsburgh SteelersMike Tomlin has turned water to wine on a few occasions in Pittsburgh, turning lackluster offenses into playoff teams in three of the past four seasons. Aaron Rodgers’ arrival changed the shape and tenor of the Steelers’ attack. That could open the door for a player like Hill, whose explosiveness and consistency can anchor an offense.
Hill’s acquisition would figure to do wonders for Pittsburgh’s offense. D.K. Metcalf’s presence would likely open up the field for the 31-year-old pass-catcher, creating further opportunities for Hill to wreak havoc on opposing defenses.
