Keith Powers And Ryan Destiny Announce Engagement With Stunning Photoshoot

Keith Powers and Ryan Destiny are officially engaged.

The actors shared the news via Instagram on Sunday (Oct. 5) with a slideshow of stunning, glamorous photos that captured their chemistry perfectly, as well as Destiny’s dazzling ring. In the images, Powers and Destiny posed together lounging on a couch, embracing each other, sharing a few laughs, and staring into each other’s eyes.

“Engaged to the love of my life,” The Perfect Find actor and Fire Inside actress captioned their joint post. In the comment section, Chloe Bailey wrote, “I love you guys sm,” while Lori Harvey added, “Omg omg omg!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!” Yvette Nicole Brown chimed in with, “@keithpowers @ryandestiny you KNOW you two have made Auntie Yvette VERY happy with this news!”

Naomi Campbell, La La Anthony, Justine Skye, Kyle Pratt, and many others also sent love and congratulations.

Powers and Destiny first met at a Teen Vogue party in 2015, started dating in 2018, and went public with their relationship shortly after. PEOPLE reported in 2022 that they had split after four years together, only for the two to gravitate back to each other three years later. Destiny confirmed the rekindling at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in February 2025.

“I just love him so much and I just appreciate him every step of the way,” she told the outlet. “He’s such a cheerleader for me, as I am for him. It just means everything. We’re just best friends — you know, we’re more than best friends.”

Powers has been equally expressive about their connection, speaking at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, he described their partnership as familial. “I think partnership really works when you really do look at your partner — the way you would look at siblings, in a way,” he told PEOPLE. “We could fight. We might not talk to each other for a minute. But we love each other. We come back. You know what I’m saying? And I feel like for me and Ryan … it’s like this is family.”

He also shared how the pair’s dynamic helps their creative spark and personal growth. “It’s just like we’re so locked in and we just get each other’s jokes and it’s just easy. We just flow honestly. And she teaches me a lot. I don’t know if I teach her stuff, but she teaches me so much. She’s made me a better artist, so it’s been great.”
