Taylor Swift donates $100K to a young female fan battling cancer
Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to a young girl battling cancer.
The pop star made the generous donation Friday following a recent Instagram post from the support page for Lilah, who is battling brain cancer. The caption of the post shared how Lilah wished Swift was âher best friend.â
Inspired by Swiftâs Eras Tour friendship bracelets, and knowing how much Lilah loves the singer, another young cancer patient started selling similar beaded bracelets to raise money for Lilah and her family, who are getting slammed with hospital bills.

Once fans noticed Swiftâs massive contribution and started sharing it on social media, many came up with the heartwarming idea to follow in her footsteps and start donating as well, with the agreed amount as $13 â the Grammy winnerâs favorite number.
The donations page soon got flooded by $13 contributions, seemingly by people who donât know Lilah personally, but are just inspired by the musician.
Her life-changing donation comes after her longtime friend Ruby Rose revealed how the songwriter would often scroll GoFundMe âlike a social media appâ and make donations after trolls were criticizing Swift â who was named the worldâs richest female musician â for her billion dollar net worth.

The âLoverâ songstress has been known to make huge donations to those in need. Last year, she quietly donated $250,000 to Operation Breakthrough, an education center based in Kansas City, Mo., ahead of the holidays.
She also surprised fans at a Florida childrenâs hospital back in June, taking the time to take photos and chat with each patient she met.
Instagram user Prince Durocher shared heartwarming pics of his daughterâs âspecial visitâ from the âBlank Spaceâ songstress during her hospital stay.
The grateful parent thanked Swift for taking âthe time out of her busy schedule just to give a personable experience which changed it from something terrifying to a memorable memory that she gets to talk about forever.â

In one photo, Swift laughed while visiting with the young patient, and in another, she sat on the hospital bed and posed with her. She also posed with the family and signed an autograph for the patient.
Her most impressive donation was in October 2024 when she donated $5 million to Hurricane Milton and Helene relief efforts.
Swift quietly made the generous donation without posting about it on social media, the same way she went about her donation for Lilah.
