Fnatic LoL Team on Verge of Collapse After Winless Worlds 2025 run
After dropping out of Worlds 2025 without winning a single series, Fnatic members have all but confirmed that roster changes will be happening ahead of the 2026 season. Players and staff are ready to move on.
Fnaticâs year was off to a pretty solid start. Their regular season placement in Winter and Spring had them consistently rivaling G2 as LEC fans have come to expect, and they seemed to be in good shape up until the Spring playoffs.
At that point, they ended in fourth and missed qualifying for both MSI and the Esports World Cup. At that point, mid laner Marek âHumanoidâ BrĂĄzda got swapped out for T1 alum Yoon âPobyâ Sung-won ahead of Summer and just barely qualified for Worlds 2025.
However, now that theyâve dropped out without winning a set, itâs become clear that Humanoid wasnât the only issue plaguing Fnatic.

Fnatic Members Confirm 2026 Roesportsster Changes
In the time since their LoL Worlds 2025 loss, several Fnatic members have spoken out about the loss in interviews, and they were perhaps a bit too candid about the state of the team and the reasons why they may have lost.
First up was a post-game interview with head coach Fabian âGrabbZâ Lohmann on broadcast, one where he said he wasnât surprised by the result.
âWeâre chaotic, sometimes flippy,â he explained. âWe didnât manage to get it out of the players. Could be a staff issue, could be a thing where we have to reconfigure certain players. This is not a showing you want to have, consequences will have to happen. I think this team itself has run its course from staff to players, weâll have to see. If the org feels a different head coach would be better, then it is what it is.â
Sorry.
Changes will have to come, in the end after many many talks this just seemed to be our level.
Thanks to everyone giving their time and effort these months and at least saving Fnatics worlds streak.
â Fabian ‘GrabbZ’ Lohmann (@GrabbZ_) October 19, 2025
And, while Grabbz said that scrims were starting to look better once the team landed in China, that didnât assuage his feelings that Fnatic will absolutely need changes in 2026. Meanwhile, Fnatic analyst Pablo âGaaxâ PĂ©rez was even more critical of the team than Grabbz.
âWeâve had a deplorable tournament,â he said on social media. âWe lack the basic fundamentals to play a half-decent game. I gave my 100% at Worlds, but that doesnât matter when not everyone is equally committed. Iâm at a loss for words, absolute shame.â
Gaax was met with significant backlash from fans for speaking ill of his players. Though he didnât name anyone specific, itâs clear that there are tensions within Fnatic that werenât able to be resolved before Worlds.
Fnatic top laner Ăscar âOscarininâ JimĂ©nez also believes that this roster is finished, something he revealed in an interview with Sheep Esports after the loss.
âThe roster needs to be changed up. Itâs clearly not working out. FNATIC needs to change something. Just have a better plan for the roster next year, with personalities and everything,â he claimed.
At the time of writing, not much time has passed since Fnatic dropped out of Worlds, and it isnât clear what players and/or staff theyâd opt to replace in the off-season. But, if one thing is for sure, itâs that Fnatic wonât be going into 2026 with the same roster.
