Mercedes announces the launch of the Bad Bunny Adiracer G in partnership with Adidas alongside the debut of the Bad Bunny Motorsport collection. On the heels of Mercedes bringing Formula 1 to Puerto Rico, the German motorsport company announces the launch of the Bad Bunny Adiracer Gâalongside the launch of the Bad Bunny Motorsport collection. Itâs part of a broader partnership between Mercedes, Bad Bunny, and Adidas.
The collaboration features the Adiracer GT, which made its debut at Adidas Originals. Team drivers George Russell, Kimi Antonelli, Valtteri Bottas, and Fred Vesti all wore pieces from the collection on Thursday.
Bad Bunny joined Mercedes in August when the outfit hit Puerto Rico for a run of demo shows. The partnership also underscores the energy bridging the intersection of culture and sport, driven by âa relentless pursuit of aesthetic evolution.â
Fans first got a glimpse of the collaboration when the Adiracer GT made its debut at the Adidas Original âThe Archiveâ exhibit at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico during Bad Bunnyâs historic sold-out residency.
âThis collaboration is about energy in motion, where culture accelerates and style takes the lead, marking Bad Bunnyâs first head-to-toe vision rooted in motorsport culture and the thrill of velocity,â reads a statement from Mercedes.âAt its core, the footwear is a modern take on the vintage driving shoe: low, sleek, and fluid, as the design reimagines the early 2000s racing model with a modern, technical approach, layering an exoskeleton structure above a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette.â
âThe apparel reinterprets archival racing cues through Bad Bunnyâs cultural lens, with bold typography, badges, and color-blocking finished by a â94â motif that nods to both race numbers and his birth year,â the company explained. âIt draws inspiration from the track itselfâdark and worn with high-speed technical detailing.â
The collection delivers a high-fashion aesthetic that amplifies racing culture and features a cap, zip-up tees, race jacket, racing gloves, and pants.
The Bad Bunny Adiracer GT and Motorsport Collection will be available worldwide in November.
