Seahawks vs. Commanders scoreSeahawks vs. Commanders highlightsWhere to watch Seahawks vs. CommandersThe Seattle Seahawks will hit the road and take on the Washington Commanders for Week 9’s “Sunday Night Football” game. Kickoff from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland is set for 8:20 p.m. ET.Â
The Seahawks enter the game with a 5-2 record and are tied with the Los Angeles Rams atop the NFC West standings. Seattle has won two games in a row and five of their last six. The Seahawks are coming off a 27-19 win over the Houston Texans. Wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba has tallied at least 123 receiving yards in three straight games and has eclipsed the 100-yard mark in five of the eight games he has played this season.
The big story for Washington in this game is that second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels is expected back under center. He missed the team’s 28-7 loss in Week 8 to the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. The Commanders head into Week 9 with a 3-5 record and in third place in the NFC East. Washington has dropped three games in a row and four of its last five, so it really needs Daniels to provide a spark with his return.Â

The quarterback found Samuel for nine yards, but then Bill lost a yard. Daniels scrambled for six yards, but it was for naught as it was called back due to a Washington face mask.

Daniels has been facing a lot of early pressure. The quarterback throws his first swing pass of the game and throws to the flat for Deebo Samuel, who picked up a few yards. After an enforced illegal blindside block penalty, Daniels picked up four on first down, and eight on second down. Washington ends its first drive with a punt.Â
8:22 p.m. — Washington won the toss and elected to receive. Quarterback Jaylen Daniels said that despite missing last week with an injury, he doesn’t have any limitations tonight.
Pre-Game
8:10 p.m. — This is a revenge game for Bobby Wagner. The veteran linebacker spent 11 seasons with Seattle, but before the game, said he didn’t have any emotion about it and just wanted to win.Â
8:05 p.m. — Washington will be without starting wide receiver Terry McLaurin for the game, and he could end up being sidelined through the team’s Week 12 bye.
