What are the odds? Week 11 NFC South edition
On Sunday, New Orleans Saints dominated the Carolina Panthers 17-7 to improve to 2-8 on the season. This game gave fans a lot of hope for the future as rookie QB Tyler Shough had a franchise record setting day, completing 19 of 27 passes for 282 yards and 2 touchdowns. The last time a Saints quarterback threw for 2+ touchdown passes and no interceptions in one of his first 2 career starts was Archie Manning (155 yards) back in 1971 against the San Francisco 49ers. With this victory, Shough also becomes the first rookie QB since Dave Wilson in 1981 to win a game for the Saints.
New Orleans will now head into their bye week with a lot of momentum and plenty of time to rest up and get some key guys healthy before a matchup against their NFC South rival, the Atlanta Falcons on November 23rd in the Caesars Superdome.
Speaking of the Falcons, let’s take a look at the rest of the division headed into Week 11.
Atlanta Falcons:
The Falcons fly into Week 11 at 3-6 after a 31-25 loss in overtime to the Indianapolis Colts in Berlin. The Falcons have now dropped four games in a row and fallen out of playoff contention. Next up for the dirty birds is a divisional battle against the Carolina Panthers.
According to FanDuel, the Falcons are currently 3.5-point favorites at home vs. the Panthers with over/under currently at 42.5 points.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

Even with yesterday’s loss the Bucs continue to sit on the top of NFC South, with a one game lead over the Panthers. However their next matchup is a tough one, as they head up to Buffalo to take on the Bills, who are also 6-3.
According to FanDuel, the Bucs are currently 5.5-point underdogs vs. the Bills with over/under currently at 49.5 points.
Carolina Panthers:
It wasn’t a good day in Charlotte, as the Panthers fell to 5-5 on the season after their loss to the Saints. Bryce Young threw for just 124 yards with one interception as the Saints defense locked up their star RB Rico Dowdle, allowing him to rush for just 53 yards and Carolina’s lone touchdown of the day. Next up for the Panthers is another divisional matchup against the Falcons in Atlanta.
