TikToker Brenay Kennard’s alleged affair is costing her a pretty penny.

A Jury ordered the 26-year-old to pay $1.75 million to Akira Montague, the ex-wife of her former manager and current romantic partner, Tim Montague, for their alleged affair.

Brenay was found liable on Nov. 10 of engaging in criminal conversation with Tim and alienation of affection during his marriage, according to NBC News.

She is set to pay $250,000 for the criminal conversation, as well as $1.5 million in damages for the alienation of affection claim.

In May 2024, the TikToker—who has over two million followers on the app—was sued by Akira under North Carolina’s alienation of affection act, which allows a spouse to sue a third party if they believe the person caused the spouse to end their marriage.

Akira, according to documents obtained by NBC News, accused Brenay of using their friendship to spark a close relationship with Tim, whom she had wed in 2018.

In Akira’s suit, she said she became aware of the affair in January 2024, alleging in the docs that Brenay “in behavior designed to seduce” Tim such as “flicking her tongue to expose her tongue rings in a flirtatious manner.

She further alleged Brenay and Tim of exchanged “numerous sexual videos and text messages.”

Akira, who shares two young children with Tim, also detailed Tim emotionally withdrawing from her amid the affair with Brenay, stating in the docs, “The Defendant has intentionally, wrongfully and unjustifiably interfered with the relationship between the Plaintiff and her Husband.”

Following the ruling, Akira’s attorney weighed in on what it means to her.

Meanwhile, Brenay and Tim have each spoken out about the jury’s decision.

“My wife had no fair shot,” Tim said in his statement to NBC News. “Especially, when defending herself against and entire team of attorneys.”

As for Brenay, she echoed his sentiments.

“The verdict wasn’t fair at all,” Brenay said in a statement to NBC News. “I fought lies for 8 days and he jury sought sympathy not facts. It’s not over until God says it’s over.”

As for the payout, Brenay didn’t hold back in sharing her thoughts…

“I don’t know,” she told WRAL after court. “But she’ll probably never see it.”
