Andy Cohen details Karen Huger’s ‘emotional’ post-prison sit-down: She said things I ‘never heard before’
Andy Cohen is breaking down the details of Karen Huger’s interview with him — and her stunning return to “RHOP” after being released from prison.
“[The sit-down] was a couple days after she was released,” Cohen exclusively told Page Six’s Eval Real and Danny Murphy at BravoCon on Friday.
“I went to her home in the dead of night after ‘Watch What Happens Live,’” he continued, adding, “I just kind of snuck into Potomac and snuck right back out.”
Brief footage from the interview appeared in the reality show’s mid-season teaser, which debuted at BravoCon on Friday.
Andy Cohen spoke exclusively to Page Six’s Danny Murphy and Evan Real about his interview with Karen Huger following her time in prison.
“I heard things from Karen that I have never heard before,” Cohen said.
In it, Cohen said, “Here we are. You are a free woman,” referring to Huger’s six-month prison term for DUI, which ended in September with her release from the Montgomery County Detention Center.
The Bravolebrity replied, “Time to talk about my addiction.”
Of the full interview — which will air during the “Real Housewives of Potomac” Season 10 finale — Cohen told Real and Murphy, “It was very emotional.”
He added, “I heard things from Karen that I have never heard before.”
He also called the sit-down with Huger “emotional.”
Cohen told Page Six that he “was very impressed with the whole conversation.”
When asked how it felt to hear Huger, 62, admit to battling addiction, Cohen told Page Six that he “was very impressed with the whole conversation. I’m excited for you guys to see it.”
Murphy and Real also spoke with Huger’s “RHOP” co-stars on the red carpet, who cheered her on amid the journey.
“I love it,” Gizelle Bryant said. “I just want Karen to be the best version of herself. And I’m here for the journey with her.”
Bryant gushed, “I think Karen’s an amazing person. So if she can get past this monkey, we’re good to go.”
The midseason “RHOP” teaser debuted at BravoCon on Friday — the full interview will air during the Season 10 finale.
Huger’s co-stars, including Monique Samuels and Ashley Darby, also spoke to Page Six about Huger’s return.
Speaking of Huger’s admission, Ashley Darby told Real and Murphy, “For her to say it herself is incredible.”
Recalling a time when Huger “put her armor back on” rather than feel “exposed,” Darby wondered if she would now “get the real Karen.”
“I feel like there’s no Potomac with the Grand Dame,” Monique Samuels added. “And Karen has been that.”
She explained, “I think this new version of her is going to be even better, because she’s going to be able to be who she truly is.”
“I just want Karen to be the best version of herself,” Gizelle Bryant said.
“I feel like she’s what was missing this season,” Angel Massie exclusively told us.
Keiarna Stewart said she was “ecstatic” to have Huger back on the show.
“I’m excited to get to know her,” Angel Massie told us. “I feel like she’s what was missing this season.”
Huger was found guilty of driving under the influence in December 2024, following a high-speed March 2024 car crash that totaled her Maserati.
Police body cam footage showed Huger admitting to being “drunk” after the collision, and during an inebriated interrogation, calling herself Thomas Jefferson’s “concubine.”
She later addressed the shocking body cam footage from her arrest, saying she’d avoided watching it.

“I’m sitting there in the courtroom, like, I have to finally watch it, because I kept saying, ‘Well, surely they made a mistake, right, because everything’s not connecting for me,’” she told husband Ray Huger.
She added, “I’m telling you, I didn’t recognize that woman.”
Huger served 6 months in the facility before her September release.
