Raiden Vines-Bright injury updates: Latest news on Washington WR after leaving game vs. Purdue in ambulance

A wave of concern washed over Husky Stadium tonight as promising true freshman wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright was carted off the field in the second quarter of Washington’s game against Purdue with an apparent head and neck injury. The young wideout, who has been a bright spot in the Huskies’ receiving corps this season, was stretchered into an ambulance.

Vines-Bright, who has been instrumental to Washington’s success, will not return against Purdue after the scary scene.

According to Aaron Coe, Vines-Bright was sent to a nearby hospital for “precautionary tests.”

After the game, Washington head coach Jedd Fisch said Vines-Bright is fully awake and fully aware.

After going down on the field, he was put on a stretcher — with the facemask of his helmet taken off — and wheeled into an ambulance.
