After Reports Of Katy Perry And Justin Trudeau’s Relationship, Sophie Trudeau Has Broken Her Silence On The Matter

Sophie Trudeau Broke Her Silence About Katy Perry And Justin Trudeau’s RelationshipHere’s what she had to say.

Just a little recap: The former Canadian prime minister was married to Sophie, who’s a motivational speaker, from 2005 until they separated in 2023. They have three children together.

Earlier this year, Katy also had a very public split with Orlando Bloom, whom she shares one child with, after a decade of being very on and off status-wise.

Earlier this fall, these two breakups collided in the form of a new relationship: Katy and Justin — who have already started appearing in public (and in Katy’s social media posts) together.

Katy and Justin are, without a doubt, the strangest celebrity couple of the year so far — and now Sophie has broken her silence (sort of) on how she feels about the entire situation.

During a recent appearance on the Arlene Is Alone podcast, Sophie addressed Justin’s recent romantic moves in the public eye — and how she’s handled it after their split.

“We’re human beings and stuff affects us,” Sophie said. “How you react to stuff is your decision. So I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.”

Sophie also alluded to “the publicness of what Justin is doing” — which, just one person’s opinion over here, sounds a little shady! — while talking about how his relationship with Katy affects her own mental well-being.

“I’m very aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers,” she said. “The woman I become through this is my decision.”

Sophie also discussed coparenting with Justin, noting that she’s “definitely not a single mom.” “I have a partnership with a father who has such deep love and availability to his children,” she added. “We have separate lives, but we have one family life.”

“You need a common, conscious decision of, ‘Our family is our greatest creation and we’re going to feed it together, no matter if we’re on different life paths.’ It’s not always easy to live, but it’s very adult.”
