A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2: Visual, Trailer, and More
The anime âA Couple of Cuckoosâ, adapted from the popular manga of the same name by the author Miki Yoshikawa, is going to have its second season released in 2025.
The story follows a high school boy, Umino Nagi, who was mixed up with another familyâs child as a baby. On the day of meeting his biological parents, a chance encounter forces him to be engaged with the girl his parents made a mix-up with.

The Announcement
A Twitter(X) post on the official handle of the manga artist Yoshikawa Miki revealed that the anime will be renewed for a new season.

What Happened in the End of Season 1?
In the last episode, while everyone was in search of Erikaâs father. The group, on failing to do so, decided to go home. Before getting in the car, Hiro tells Nagi that he and Nagi will stay behind for a while, surprising Erika and Sachi. They agree and leave.
Nagi is happy to spend time with Hiro, but they end up stuck in an inn overnight due to a rainstorm, with nothing happening between them because Erika and Sachi came back to pick them up.
The final episode focuses on Erika, starting with a birthday party for Nagi and Sachiâs dad, where Erika finally gets to take a family picture with them.
Later in the episode, Erika catches a cold, and while Sachi and Hiro try to help her, but itâs Nagiâs rice porridge that makes her feel better. Weirdly enough, this moment makes Hiro and Sachi realize that they are competing for Nagiâs love, with Erika seemingly in the lead.
This is a big moment that took the anime a whole season to reach; however, better late than never, isnât it? Regardless, the anime had several great scenes, which compensates for the delay in rivalry (which is a major part of any harem anime).

Nagi and Erika were switched at birth and never knew their real parents. On the day that Nagi was supposed to meet his natural parents, he encounters Erika and is roped into helping her out of an arranged marriage.
Both of them pretend to be girlfriend and boyfriend only to realize later that they are actually fated to marry each other.
