Brown Back On Field For Eagles

The Eagles will have a full complement of weapons for Jalen Hurts to work with for just the second time in 2024.

A.J. Brown has been out with a hamstring injury since Week 2. He and DeVonta Smith, who missed Week 4 with a concussion, will both be back on the field for the Week 6 clash with the Cleveland Browns.

Brown could not have asked for a better matchup to return to the field with since the Browns just allowed 434 total yards to the Washington Commanders.

Cleveland’s defense conceded at least 20 points in four of its five games and allowed over 200 passing yards in two of its last three losses .

Brown is a must-start player any week he is healthy, but it may take him a week or two to rejoin the upper echelon of fantasy point scorers.

Sunday’s matchup is more favorable to the Eagles rushing attack, led by Saquon Barkley, since the Browns allowed over 100 yards on the ground to every opponent.

Brown may contribute most to his Week 6 fantasy score through a touchdown or two, but by next week, he should be at full strength to carry a fantasy football squad if need be.

Davante Adams Still Not Practicing

The Raiders are officially listing a hamstring injury as the reason why Davante Adams will not be on the field in Week 6.

He hasn’t officially been ruled out yet, but he has not practiced all week again as his future gets sorted out.

Plenty of teams are obviously interested in acquiring the All-Pro wide receiver, but nothing concrete has come from any trade speculation yet.

Adams’ absence leaves the Raiders with only a few fantasy football targets in Week 6, starting with tight end Brock Bowers.

The rookie out of Georgia caught eight passes on 12 targets in the Week 5 matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Tre Tucker carries some value as a depth streamer at wide receiver because he did have seven targets from Aidan O’Connell in Week 5.

After that, you have to go outside the Raiders roster for any Week 6-specific replacements for Adams.

Chicago’s Rome Odunze is worth a look in his London matchup against Jacksonville’s league-worst passing defense.

Some Baltimore pass-catchers are worth looks on the waiver wire as well. The Ravens face a Commanders defense that allowed 10 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers. Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and tight end Isaiah Likely are the targets in that matchup.

Cleveland’s Jerry Jeudy is worth a look as well because the Eagles allowed the fourth-most touchdowns to opposing wide receivers, but adding Jeudy comes with the risk that Deshaun Watson will once again struggle in the pocket.
