A look back at the history between the Saints and Eagles

The New Orleans Saints (2-0) are back home for Week 3 of the 2024 season to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) on Sunday afternoon at Caesars Superdome.

The Saints first played the Eagles back on November 5, 1967, in Tulane Stadium. New Orleans won that game 31-24, which was their first win in franchise history. Unfortunately, they proceeded to lose their next 3 games played against Philly.

This will be the 35th time that these two franchises will face one another with 5 of those matchups taking place in the post season. The Saints currently have a 16-19 record against the Eagles, with New Orleans winning 6 of their last 10 games, 2 of which were playoff wins in 2014 and 2019. One of their most memorable matchups came in the Superdome on January 13, 2007, during the NFC Divisional Playoffs where the Saints defeated the Eagles 27-24, leading them to their first-ever NFC Championship Game.

Kickoff is at noon and the game will be broadcast on FOX with Joe Davis (play-by-play), Greg Olsen (color analyst), Pam Oliver (sideline)
