Aaron Rodgers wasn’t surprised about the New York Jets getting scheduled to play in six primetime games in the 2024 season, the most in franchise history.
In fact, Rodgers mentioned his anticipation of playing under the bright lights during an interview with Adam Schein of Mad Dog Sports Radio on Thursday.
“I love it,” the four-time MVP said. “We are must-watch TV, and that’s pretty obvious. Everybody knows that. Whether you love me or hate me, people want to see me play. They enjoy watching me play, and we are a team to watch this year. Not surprising. Six primetime games in the first 11 or 12 weeks. I love it.”

The Jets will open their season against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Then, they’ll make their Thursday Night Football debut by hosting the New England Patriots in Week 3.
New York’s remaining primetime games will occur against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6, the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, the Houston Texans in Week 9, and the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11.
After he was traded to the Jets during the 2023 offseason, Rodgers’ first year with the team was cut short after he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1.
Now, New York enters the 2024 season with playoff aspirations due to the 40-year-old’s expected return as well as a developing young core that includes Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, and Sauce Gardner.
