Adenta Chief Imam commends Grand Mufti

The Chief Imam of the Adentan Municipal, Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Mutawakil, has congratulated Dr Tamim Abdul Wahab Abdul Kareem on his new role as the Grand Mufti of the municipal.
He commended the new Mufti for leveraging his good leadership skills to unite the people of Adentan and its environs and urged him to continue promoting peace, harmony and progress in the Municipality.
“Dr Kareem is a gift not only to the people of Adentan, but the nation. His contribution to education, women empowerment and the development of Adentan Municipal has immensely benefited many,” he said.
Sheikh Mutawakil made the commendation at the inauguration of the Adenta Municipal Zongo High Council and Tribal Chiefs which also marked the 11th anniversary of the Adenta Zongo Chief, Wuro Adamu Salifu.
At the ceremony, Sheikh Mutawakil presented citation of honour to Dr Kareem, who is currently the Dean of the College Of Islamic Studies at Madina, as well as the Imam sheikh Ali, the municipal Imam of the Tijaniya, for their meritorious service to the area.
He stated that the honor to the Mufti and Shiekh Ali was to recognise their development oriented and academic leadership which had shaped the lives and wellbeing of many people in the community.
Sheikh Mutawakil revealed that the charitable work and humble life of the Mufti had compelled many to adopt the lifestyle of benevolence towards others as well as humility.
Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Mutawakil described the Mufti as a man of principle whose lifestyle and actions were in line with the teaching of Prophet Mohammed.
He commended the Mufti for his selflessness and commitment to teach many people to become both Islamic and Academic scholars in a bid to produce responsible people in to the society.
In an interesting turn of event, Dr Kareem also presented a citation of honour to the Chief Imam of Adenta Municipal, Sheikh Mutawakil, on behalf of the High Council of Adenta Municipal Zongo and Tribal Chiefs.
The citation read in part, praised the Chief Imam of Adenta Municipal for his “outstanding leadership achievement award for demonstrating an extraordinary commitment and leadership and his unwavering support to the people of Adentan Municipal.”
“The President and Membership of High Council of Adentan Municipal Zongo and Tribal Chiefs graciously confer this award of citation to you in acknowledgment of your vision, nondiscriminatory commitment to organise and empower the citizens of all faith and ethnicity to realise their corporate dreams and mandate.”
“Your leadership has been marked by wisdom, humility and integrity. We appreciate and commend you for your exceptional contribution to fostering and nurturing peace, constructive dialogue, inclusion and progress in Adentan Municipality.”
The Mufti also commend him for being a shining example for other students and upholding to the principles and teaching of the Quran.
