Welcome to Bleacher Report’s live coverage of the final AEW Dynamite before All Out this weekend.

Despite having the pay-per-view coming up on Saturday, All Elite Wrestling still needed to make sure Wednesday’s show was worth watching, so we got to see several champions in title and non-title matches.

Here is a look at what AEW advertised for this week’s Dynamite:

PAC and BCC vs. ConglomerationKazuchika Okada vs. Kyle Fletcher (Continental Championship)Mariah May vs. Nyla Rose (Women’s World Championship)Let’s take a look at what went down on this week’s Dynamite.

Daniel Garcia Wants Blood1 of 6

Dynamite.AEW

Dynamite opened with an angry Daniel Garcia marching to the ring. He grabbed a mic and called out MJF for a fight because he didn’t want to wait for All Out.

MJF appeared in the crowd, and the pair traded insults. MJF claimed he was trying to teach Garcia that you can’t trust anybody.

The crowd reacted loudly to all of the big shots they took and both men did a good job carrying this segment. Their hatred felt real.

Garcia bolted into the crowd, but security cut him off. He eventually made it past them only for MJF to smash a bottle on his head.

MJF ended the segment by telling Garcia he would end him at All Out.

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

MJF’s little song got interrupted by a malfunctioning mic. Garcia said MJF had a hair transplant in Turkey. Kazuchika Okada vs. Kyle Fletcher2 of 6

The first match of the night saw Okada defend the Continental Championship against Fletcher, who had Don Callis on commentary.

The former New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars began slowly with some basic sequences while playing some mind games. Fletcher didn’t seem intimidated one bit.

These two are similar in size and skill, so experience was the big difference-maker. Fletcher is already an accomplished star, but Okada has several years on him.

They kept a steady pace and made each spot count, but there were moments when it felt like they could have used a bit more urgency.

They fought through two commercial breaks and battled into the crowd at one point. They upped the intensity as they went, but Okada resorted to a low blow to get a dirty win.

Result: Okada defeated Fletcher

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

Mark Briscoe gave a hilarious promo before this match.Fletcher’s suicide dive looked great. Okada’s use of the Aussie chat against Fletcher as he hit a series of strikes was funny. Okada’s head wasn’t in the right position for a piledriver, so it looked like it had no impact. Robyn Renegade vs. Jamie Hayter3 of 6

Dynamite. AEW

Jamie Hayter was in action this week against Robyn Renegade, one-half of the Renegade Twins.

However, this was a glorified squash match that gave Hayter an easy win.

Result: Hayter defeated Renegade

Grade: Incomplete

After a break, Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir beat up a few people backstage before heading to the ring.

Mox said Darby Allin is a special performer before saying he wants Darby to find him so they can have a conversation.

Notable Moments and Observations

Hayter’s theme music has a special aura to it. Fans always go nuts when it plays. Moxley’s line to Jack Perry about being “a sweet kid” was funny. Mariah May vs. Nyla Rose4 of 6

Dynamite.AEW

The women’s world title was on the line this week when May defended the belt against The Native Beast.

The Glamour foolishly slapped Rose a few times and quickly found herself being overpowered and taken down.

May was on defense for a long time but began to build some momentum once we returned from a break. She used the ref as a distraction so she could trip Rose on the ring steps

Rose gave her a competitive fight. May is used to having a small height and power advantage in matches, so it was interesting to see her as a physical underdog for once.

The Glamour scored a victory with Storm Zero.

Result: May defeated Rose

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

The backstage segment with Orange Cassidy and The Learning Tree was decent. The announcers noted that Rose holds several records in AEW. The double headbutt looked good from the angle they used. PAC, Yuta and Castagnoli vs. Ospreay, Cassidy and O’Reilly 5 of 6

Dynamite.AEW

Mercedes Moné and Kamille were out for a promo to talk about The CEO’s upcoming match against Hikaru Shida.

Interim EVP Christopher Daniels revealed Kamille would be banned from ringside at All Out.

The final match of the night saw Ospreay team with Cassidy and O’Reilly to take on Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli and PAC in a trios bout.

Yuta and KOR had a nice exchange of takedowns and counters to begin the match, while PAC and Ospreay had a fast and furious sequence that ended with all six men in a standoff.

Unsurprisingly, this was the best thing we saw all night. All six men are celebrated workers for different reasons, so they all worked well together.

This was an entertaining main event that saw PAC and Blackpool Combat Club pick up the win when Castagnoli pinned KOR. The Elite tried to attack BCC but were driven off.

Result: BCC and PAC defeated Ospreay and Conglomeration

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

Cassidy doing a lazy version of Ospreay’s poses during his entrance was hilarious. O’Reilly’s transition from one armbar to another was so clean. Castagnoli vs. Cassidy is a feud we need at some point. They worked well together. The Final Word6 of 6

Dynamite.AEW

This week’s Dynamite closed with a contract signing that instead saw “Hangman” Adam Page burn down the childhood home Swerve Strickland had purchased this week.

Not only was this one of Page’s better promos, but it was also one of the most interesting segments AEW has done because the company actually burned down a house to do it.

The emotion on Swerve’s face was convincing. This is one of the best storylines in AEW and this amount of effort has paid off.

This week’s Dynamite was a solid episode for in-ring action, but it also made sure to spend enough time setting up All Out.

The trios match was the Match of the Night by a small margin, but Okada and Fletcher put on a performance worth seeing.
