AFK Journey Chest Locations: Where to Find All of the Chests in the World Map
Take a look as we cover all of AFK Journey’s chest locations.
Developed by Lilith Games and FARLIGHT, AFK journey will entice you with its vibrant characters and artstyle, as you explore the brilliantly designed world in an ethereal fantasy setting. Being an RPG game, you can expect a lot of the features that are shared by all RPG games, including different characters with unique abilities, exploration, customization and of course, treasure hunting.
We know everyone loves the feeling of opening a treasure chest in any game, so that’s why we’ve compiled this list with all the treasure chest locations in AFK Journey. So let’s take a look, shall we?
AFK Journey Chest Locations
AFK Journey has two types of chests: Regular Treasures which can come in small, medium or large sizes and the reward will vary depending on the size. The other type of chests are the Crimson Treasures which hold more valuable rewards and will usually be guarded by Treasure Keepers.
Holistone
In Holistone, you’ll find 2 Crimson Chests and 13 Regular Chests in the locations shown above.
Golden Wheatshire 1
In Golden Wheatshire 1, you’ll find 2 Crimson Chest and 16 Regular Chests.Â
You’ll notice an area marked as blocked on the map, which is stopping you from finding three more treasure chests. To clear the blocked area, head northwest in the map and enter the hidden entrance.
The entrance will lead you to a Ruin Cavern where you’ll have to solve a pretty easy puzzle. All you have to do is push the boulder blocking the pathway and you’ll be good to go.
Ignite the explosive barrel to remove the blockage once you’re out of the Ruin Cavern and don’t forget to step on the two pressure plates to reveal another chest!
Golden Wheatshire 2
In Golden Wheatshire 2, you’ll find 2 Crimson Chests and 9 Regular Chests.
Solving the Light Puzzle will grant you another chest. To solve it, simply point all the lights into the receptors and a treasure chest will appear.
Cliff-Bottom Cave
In Cliff-Bottom Cave, you’ll find 1 Crimson Chest and 2 Regular Chests.
Golden Wheatshire 3
In Golden Wheatshire 3, You’ll find 3 Crimson Chests and 11 Regular Chests.
Solving the Pressure Plate Puzzle will grant you a chest and to solve it, you’ll need to drag the two boulders into the plates and step on the third one. Doing so will reveal the hidden chest.
Golden Wheatshire 4
Golden Wheatshire 4 includes 3 Crimson Chests and 9 Regular Chests.
Manor Tunnel can be accessed after finishing part of the Main Quest – Golden Banquet.
Golden Wheatshire 5
Golden Wheatshire 5 has 3 Crimson Chests and 10 Regular Chests.
Solving the Light Puzzle will grant you the last treasure chest.
Dark Forest 1
Dark Forest 1 has 3 Crimson Chests and 14 Regular Chests.
You’ll find three hidden chests when you solve each of the Plate Puzzles shown in the map above. To solve them, you’ll have to illuminate all the plates by stepping on each of them which will reveal the chests.
Completing the sidequest Mysteries of The Antlers will grant you another chest. To access the quest, go through the portal in the northwestern region of the Dark Forest map.
Dark Forest 2
You’ll find 3 Crimson Chests and 11 Regular Chests in Dark Forest 2.
You’ll find the last chest on the southwest area of the Dark Forest and you’ll have to interact with another Deer Spirit Altar to reveal said chest (Mysteries of The Antler).
Dark Forest 3
In Dark Forest 3, you’ll find 3 Crimson Chests and 12 Regular Chests.
The hidden chests can be found by finishing the Plate Puzzles and 2 Light Puzzles shown on the map below.
The last chest can be found by interacting with the Deer Spirit Altar.
Dark Forest 4
In Dark Forest 4, you’ll find 3 Crimson Chests and 11 Regular Chests.
Once again, you’ll find the hidden chests by solving the Plate Puzzles and Light Puzzles. Not to mention, there’s another Mysteries of The Antler available here which will grant you a chest.
Dark Forest 5
Dark Forest 5 includes 3 Crimson Chests and 11 Regular Chests.
You’ll get the hidden chests by solving the Plate Puzzle and Mysteries of the Antlers. Noticing a pattern yet?
Dark Forest 6
Dark Forest 6 includes 3 Crimson Chests and 12 Regular Chests.
Once again, the hidden chests will be revealed to you as you finish the Light Puzzle, Pressure Plate Puzzle and Mysteries of The Antlers.
Dark Forest 7
Dark Forest 7 includes 3 Crimson Chests and 12 Regular Chests.
This time, a new puzzle is introduced called Collect Puzzle where you’ll have to collect all the checkpoint flags within the time limit. Doing so will grant you a chest.Â
And like all the other Dark Forest counterparts, you’ll need to finish the Light Puzzle and a Plate Puzzle, along with the final Mysteries of the Antler.
Vaduso Mountains
The last area, Vaduso Mountains 1, includes 2 Crimson Chests and 9 Regular Chests.
Complete the Plate Puzzle to receive a hidden chest. This is actually a new puzzle where you’ll have to illuminate all the plates except this time there’s purple plates that will transport you to other plates, adding more depth to the puzzle.
AFK Journey Ashen Waste Treasure Chest Locations
Ashen Wastes 1
This area features one Puzzle Chest, and one of the new Treasure Hunter Chests. Many chests are on high spots, so make sure to check the paths on the map above.
The Ashen Waste section is being updated as we unlock the content. We were on a newer server so we had to wait a week.
