After Agonizing Olympics Defeat, Jason Day’s State of Mind Gets Revealed by 10x LPGA Champ

Buckle up, golf fans! With the men’s Olympic golf competition over, women are ready to tee off on August 7, and some players are already in the city of love preparing for the ultimate showdown. Recently, Australian representatives, Hannah Green and 10-time LPGA Tour winner Minjee Lee spilled some beans about the men’s competition and their experience with having dinner with the boys.

At the Women’s Olympic Golf Competition’s press conference, when asked about what they talked about with their fellow male golfers at the dinner table, Lee and Green both had some bizarre replies. Green was the first to break the silence, revealing the obsession male golfers have with the sport. According to her, rather than exploring new conversations, the men in golf talk a lot about the sport itself. “It seems like the guys talk much more about golf than we do. Even yesterday, they were just talking about golf swing positions and things like that. I honestly don’t talk about that at all,” said the golfer.

Lee also jumped into the conversation and mentioned how Jason Day, who finished T9 at the Olympics and could not win gold, despite giving it his all, was air-gripping during the competition. “Like Jason Day was air gripping and stuff like that, all the golf mechanisms,” said Lee as she shed light on the conversation. Having lost the chance to win gold at the Olympics, Day only was thinking about golf and the mechanisms of the sport.
