All Fortnite Reload Weapons – Best and Worst Items

A new mode is here. If you want to win, what are the best Fortnite Reload weapons to carry in our new island?

Fortnite Reload has kicked off with a new loot pool. Well, more of a remixed loot pool. Our Fortnite Reload Items take heavy inspiration from the OG chapter, but it’s a parred down pool of weapons.

Most category of gun only has a single inclusion. But there are some noticeable omissions. Shotguns especially are in a kind of weird place compared to the rest of the loot pool. The only Chapter 1 AR they’ve chosen to include is a stranger choice too.

Mobility and other weirder items are popping up here and there too. There are more guns than a single player can carry, so what do you prioritize?

There is a collection of the best Fortnite Reload weapons. The guns that have stood out since the mode was released. What are the must carries in Fortnite Reload and what’s best left behind?

All Fortnite Reload Items

The Fortnite Reload items are a pretty small group. It’s parred back to match the quicker format for gameplay, and items with weird novelties have largely been left behind. These are all of the guns in the game at launch:

Tactical Shotgun
Heavy Shotgun
Infantry Rifle
Heavy Assault Rifle
Revolver
Tactical Submachine Gun
Bolt-Action Sniper
Rocket Launcher
Grappler

Which are the better Fortnite Reload Items though? We can break it down across a few tiers to see what stands out in the game.

S Tier – Best Fortnite Reload Weapons
Infantry Rifle

The Infantry Rifle is a much-missed weapon! Maybe Fortnite’s best ever marksman rifle, just a basic rifle that works perfectly.

It’s going to reward players with great aim. Since it’s a bit faster than the Sniper its better suited for Reload too. It’s a great gun and one we’ll likely see in a lot of clips of pop offs from this new mode. It’s a gun we’d love to see back in Fortnite tournaments too, but Reload is a great start.

Rocket Launcher

The Rocket Launcher is one of Fortnite’s most fun weapons and it’s long been missed. It’s great to see it back.

This weapon is fantastic for taking out builds, and even players at the right ranges. You’ll have to watch ammo, but with infinite reboots around even dealing close range explosive damage isn’t the end of the world. The Rocket Launcher is a must carry for a lot of players this season.

Grappler

The singular mobility tool in Fortnite Reload! No cars to be found or even shockwaves. It’s just the Grappler.

The Grappler is ideal for getting around the map and out of trouble. It’s another must carry. As the only mobility tool, it’s best to keep one in your inventory at all times to get the best chances of winning Fortnite games in Reload.

A Tier
OG Heavy Shotgun

The Heavy is ain a bit of a unique situation for Fortnite Reload weapons. Frankly, we’re missing the pump. For some reason the loot pool has the Tac, and this is our replacement for a Pump.

The Heavy is a weird little shotgun. It can be inconsistent and touchy. However, without a Pump in the game this is our best shot. It’s a better pick than the Tac for the most part, especially if you have the aim to make the most of it.

Tactical Shotgun

The Tactical Shotgun is a gun that players might have been missing in the C5 S3 weapons. This is the more classic OG type of the gun. It’s a quicker shotgun that’s more forgiving than a pump.

Not a replacement for a skilled player, but if you’re lacking the aim for other shotguns this one can work well. It’s even suited to the more casual playstyle here.

Tactical Submachine Gun

The Tactical Sub is a particularly fun gun that it’s lovely to get a hold of after so many seasons of weird SMGs. The Tactical Sub is a standard SMG, great for the run n gun play of Fortnite Reload.

Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle

The original Sniper is here, back hitting hard and only having a single shot. The Bolt-Action is very useful if you can aim really well. For a skilled player it’s one of the best Fortnite Reload weapons.

It might be a bit slower for a lot of players’ liking here. With reboots turned on though, you can take more risks with sniping.

The Bolt-Action Sniper is a very fun weapon to have in. The novelty isn’t as fresh since Chapter 5 has seen so many Snipers too, but it’s still good to have it around.

C Tier Fortnite Reload Weapons
Heavy Assault Rifle

The Heavy AR is back for Fortnite Reload, it’s just as you remember it. Slower than the standard AR, but it’s a really solid gun still.

The pace of gameplay isn’t the most suited to ARs at first, but a good amount of the map is going to work well with ARs in the early rounds. The Heavy Assault Rifle is a decent gun, especially as it’s the only AR.

Revolver

The Revolver is an old classic. It’s a surprisingly effective weapon with good aim. It can’t quite beat other weapon categories though.

It’s a problem we see all the time with pistols. Even if they’re fantastic they just don’t really compete with Shotguns.

Those are the lower ranked and best Fortnite Reload weapons. This is an interestingly lean loot pool. There isn’t a whole lot of choice, but with only five slots you’ll still have to prioritize.

Most of these guns will be great for jumping into Fortnite Reload. We might even see the loot pool expand over time, so keep an eye out for future updates. The Fortnite servers could get more guns for Reload at any time.
