‘All on the house’ – Conor McGregor funds big party after Forged Inn football team wins cup final

Conor McGregor is celebrating a big win ahead of his UFC comeback fight next month.

‘Notorious’ hopes to taste victory for the first time since beating Donald Cerrone four years ago when he fights Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29.

However, he’s taken time out from his fight camp to celebrate a huge result from the football world – and it’s not Manchester United’s shock FA Cup win over Manchester City.

On Saturday, a team named after his Black Forge Inn pub won the MMI Cup.

The amateur side picked up a 4-1 win over Glasnaíon FC in the final before sending the UFC superstar pictures and videos of the immediate post-game celebrations.

He wrote: “The Black Forge FC won the Cup today!! Big congrats to all the squad! Back to the spot for celebrations and all on the house! Ballers!”

McGregor followed it up with a video showing a team member arriving at the Black Forge Inn with the trophy.

The 35-year-old captioned the post: “Ballers in the gaf!”

We can only assume it was epic as the MMA legend spares no expense when it comes to throwing a party, even if he can’t be there himself.

McGregor hopes to have an even bigger reason to celebrate soon, but Chandler could spoil what the Irishman expects to be the ‘greatest sporting comeback’ ever.
