Ambush Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear
Early next month, Rizzoli will publish a book celebrating Ambushās 10th anniversary. āSometimes you forget the things that you worked on; we tend to be more future-focused, we feel like, āok the past is in the past letās move onā, but I was realizing that thereās so many things we have done that people havenāt really connected to or they forget we had done them,ā Yoon Ahn explained. āI wanted to use this collection to make it kind of a homecoming, bringing back our own archives and remixing them.āĀ
The lineup is classic Ambush. More grown-up than recent collections, but no less playful. There are tracksuits galore; in velour with a lace trim for a more āfeminine feel,ā in tie-dye and color-blocked cotton, in washed technical fabrics, and in coated cotton. āItās about ease of movement and being active,ā she said. āThese are all people that Iāll see on the street.ā A flight jacket-turned-hoodie had an unexpectedly elegant energy thanks not only to its silhouette but the shine and coloration of the fabric. āIt was washed and treated a few times to give it a really worn-in vibe,ā she said.Ā
Hardcore Ambush fans will recognize some of the pieces like jackets and shorts made from collaged football scarves and jersey, and a workwear shirt and jeans in a woven diamond-print denim, from the vast Ambush archive. āReleasing the book made me feel like, ok, that was one chapter, and now from here weāre going to jump into a new space.ā Hereās to the next decade.Ā
