Americans Abroad Midweek Rewind: Aaronson, Tillman, and more

Leeds United continued its quest towards promotion back to the English Premier League by earning another three points midweek.

Brenden Aaronson remained in Daniel Farke’s starting lineup as Leeds defeated Luton Town 3-0 at Elland Road. It marked the club’s third-straight win in EFL Championship play, keeping them at the top of the league standings.

Aaronson logged 84 minutes in midfield, registering two shots and working tirelessly in the starting lineup. Although he did not score or assist, Aaronson’s work rate has not dropped since his return to Yorkshire last summer.

Leeds United continue league play on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

In Europe, Ricardo Pepi and Malik Tillman led PSV to a crucial comeback UCL win. Christian Pulisic scored as AC Milan also claimed three points in UCL play. Folarin Balogun made his return for Monaco.

In Mexico, Alex Zendejas and Brandon Vazquez enjoyed first leg wins in the LIGA MX playoffs.
