Only caught part of the game, and it sounded like Turner’s pass out of the back led to turnover that led to Man U’s goal. But that said, he came up with some great saves at the end of the game to get Forest the win. Man U was pushing hard, and Matt made all the routine saves, came out to get the ball on multiple corners, and had one highlight reflex save to push a ball over the crossbar after a hard shot deflected off one of his defenders. After beating Man U I couldn’t imagine Forest not sticking with Matt as the starter now. He is the clear #1 for USMNT to start 2024.
