Andre Lima gets bite marks from opponent tattooed, bonus from Dana White after wild UFC moment
People get tattoos of iconic moments all the time. But Andre Limaās new tattoo may take the cake.
Lima was fighting Igor Severino at a UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas Saturday night when Severino, who was making his UFC debut, was disqualified in the middle of the fight for biting Lima on the arm.
A Nevada State Athletic Commission doctor was called in to examine the mark. When he determined it was, in fact, a bite mark, referee Chris Tognoni waved off the fight.
Lima, though, wanted to remember the fight and the bite differently.
On Instagram Saturday night, he posted a screenshot of Dana Whiteās story, which showed his arm with the bite mark now tattooed permanently, exactly where Lima was bitten.

Lima didnāt even wait a day to decide to get the tattoo, which shows the bite and says, āI got fāking bit bonus.ā
UFC CEO Dana White said he was originally going to give Lima a $25,000 bonus, but after seeing the tattoo he said heās giving Lima $50,000.
Severino, who took his first career loss, was also released from UFC.

āThose were two up-and-coming undefeated fighters,ā White told combat sports reporter Kevin Iole in a text message. āIf you get frustrated and want out of the fight, there are plenty of ways to do it, but the worst thing u can do is bite your opponent. Now, you get cut and lose the biggest opportunity of your life. Not to mention, heās going to have real problems with the NSAC.ā
