Andre Lima gets bite marks from opponent tattooed, bonus from Dana White after wild UFC moment

People get tattoos of iconic moments all the time. But Andre Limaā€™s new tattoo may take the cake.

Lima was fighting Igor Severino at a UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas Saturday night when Severino, who was making his UFC debut, was disqualified in the middle of the fight for biting Lima on the arm.

A Nevada State Athletic Commission doctor was called in to examine the mark. When he determined it was, in fact, a bite mark, referee Chris Tognoni waved off the fight.

Lima, though, wanted to remember the fight and the bite differently.

On Instagram Saturday night, he posted a screenshot of Dana Whiteā€™s story, which showed his arm with the bite mark now tattooed permanently, exactly where Lima was bitten.

Lima didnā€™t even wait a day to decide to get the tattoo, which shows the bite and says, ā€œI got fā€“king bit bonus.ā€

UFC CEO Dana White said he was originally going to give Lima a $25,000 bonus, but after seeing the tattoo he said heā€™s giving Lima $50,000.

Severino, who took his first career loss, was also released from UFC.

ā€œThose were two up-and-coming undefeated fighters,ā€ White told combat sports reporter Kevin Iole in a text message. ā€œIf you get frustrated and want out of the fight, there are plenty of ways to do it, but the worst thing u can do is bite your opponent. Now, you get cut and lose the biggest opportunity of your life. Not to mention, heā€™s going to have real problems with the NSAC.ā€
