ā€œI thought that he had one foot out the door. Anyone could tell it was an act. He had weight to lose in his face. Even if youā€™re heavy, you carry more body fat. You canā€™t say youā€™re sucked out and youā€™re dying and your face is full. Iā€™veĀ cut weight since I was literally 5 years old. I know when someoneā€™s sucked out (and) I know the face of someone who just quit, who just said f*ck it. The UFC tried to help him all week, and he didnā€™t take the help, so itā€™s just a lack of discipline. When I saw that, I was like, ā€˜All right, heā€™s got one footĀ out the door. Iā€™ve got to give him a reason to quit.ā€

Petroski on Budkaā€™s grit
ā€œI will give the kid credit. After every round, he stood there and was like, ā€˜Iā€™m ready to fight.ā€™ So I give the kid credit. He might be undisciplined, and you better be spectacular if youā€™re going to be undisciplined in this sport. But Iā€™m not his coach. Iā€™ll give him credit and say that every round, he came out ready to fight.ā€

Petroski on what he wants next

ā€œWhen they call me, I say yes. Thatā€™s up to the UFC. Iā€™m excited, though ā€“ two wins in a row. Iā€™m excited to see who they give me next. I think that there are a lot of fun matchups. But weā€™ll see. Iā€™m not going to keep saying the same name over and over. I donā€™t really have any names right now. Iā€™mĀ open to whatever. There are a lot of matchups that arenā€™t in the top 15, but thereā€™s some matchups in the top 15 that I like, too. OK, Alex Pereira ā€“ give me (light heavyweight champion) Alex Pereira. There.ā€
