Anthony Davis Excites NBA Fans as LeBron James, Lakers Take on Kevin Durant, Suns

Anthony Davis and LeBron James are off to a strong start to the season despite a 109-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, keeping fans enthusiastic about head coach JJ Redick’s team.

Davis was brilliant despite the loss, notching 29 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Rui Hachimura also had a strong game, finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds and two assists.

Despite James’ struggles—shooting 3-of-14 from the field with just 11 points—he contributed to the playmaking with eight assists and five rebounds.

On the other side of the ball, Kevin Durant finished with 30 points, eight rebounds and four assists while Devin Booker notched 33 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Davis is tied for the highest points per game this season with 34, adding an average of 11.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

While the Lakers earned their first loss of the season on Monday night, the team has ignited a new flame amongst purple and gold fans.

The Lakers will look to bounce back on Wednesday as James returns to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers, who have started the season 4-0 following a win over the New York Knicks on Monday.
