Carragher was on punditry duty alongside Jamie Redknapp, Izzy Christiansen and lead anchor Kelly Cates during Sky Sports’ coverage of the match.
After the game, the former Liverpool defender was analysing Liverpool’s display when Cates spotted the new Reds boss walking towards them to conduct a live post-match interview.

Slot then shook hands with the panel and took a microphone from Cates, saying: “Does anybody ever listen to him?”
With everybody laughing, Cates could be heard saying: “Two games in and he’s already got the measure of Carra!”
While Slot’s appearance post-match was a big hit, Carragher did explain that he thought the atmosphere at Anfield was a little bit stranger considering it was the Dutchman’s first match there.

Carragher explained: “I thought the atmosphere was strange, considering it was the first home game of the season.
“Is that because the style of play is going to be different from Jurgen Klopp? It’s not going to be as end-to-end, I don’t t know, but it was a strange atmosphere.
“That was like a Man City performance, in that, it didn’t feel like there was much jeopardy in the game.

“It’s going to be different, and I wonder how it’s going to impact the atmosphere because it did feel strange.
“But it could be more successful.”
