Arnold Ash sponsors England’s UEFA Regions’ Cup amateur squad

Arnold Ash, the executive recruitment specialist, has continued its commitment to supporting grassroots sports with the sponsorship of the Arthurian League representative team ahead of the UEFA Regions Cup 2024.

The England team’s opening fixture in Helsinki, Finland, is due to kick off on Wednesday [31 July] against Lisbon of Portugal. The squad will then continue their four-team group stage by playing a second match against Finland’s Lansi-Vantaan Ylpeys on Saturday, August 3rd, and a third on Tuesday, August 6th against Latvia’s representative.

The UEFA Regions’ Cup is an amateur competition that has been running for more than two decades. The tournament is aimed at players who have never featured at a professional level and is believed to demonstrate the high calibre of talent in European football.

As part of the sponsorship, Arnold Ash’s logo will be emblazoned across the team’s white and navy hone kit (pictured), while the executive recruitment and integrated talent advisory firm will also benefit from appearing on the tournament’s online and social channels.

Arthurian League players come from clubs made up of former public school pupils, with the league established in 1961. The league has more than 55 member clubs, including alumni from Eton College, Harrow School and Epsom College.

Arnold Ash has garnered a reputation for backing community-driven causes from across the sporting spectrum, with its support of the Gloves and Doves initiative earlier this year helping promote unity and coexistence in Israel and the Middle East in addition to sponsoring and supporting boxer ‘Razor Ali’ an Iranian refugee based in London.

Jon Arnold, CEO at Arnold Ash, said:

We are delighted to back this unmistakably talented soccer team as they journey across the continent and represent England at the UEFA Regions’ Cup 2024. The rep team is comprised of some of the best players in amateur football and as a huge football fan myself, I wish them all the luck in the world as they kick off with their first game on Wednesday. Supporting good causes and positively impacting communities is something we are hugely passionate about at Arnold Ash and there is more to come in the sport and charity space in the coming months.

Billy Jenkins, Manager of the Arthurian League representative team, said:

As our boys head out to Finland this week, we thank Arnold Ash for their continued support. I know Jon and his team join me in wishing the representatives good luck against some of Europe’s best players. Championing amateur sports ensures we can nurture the talent of tomorrow and give young people a platform to show off their skills.
