Arsenal keeping tabs on prolific striker
Arsenal host high-flying Nottingham Forest when the Premier League returns next weekend.Â
Mikel Arteta’s side find themselves nine points behind leaders Liverpool after a run of just two draws from their past four games in the competition, and the Spaniard will be desperate to see his side improve after the international break.
Forest will provide a tough test for the Gunners, though, with Nuno Esperito Santo’s side currently sitting level on points with the London side.
Off the pitch, it appears that Arsenal are eyeing a move for one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.
As per The Daily Briefing, the North London outfit are keeping tabs on Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.
The 24-year-old will soon enter into the final 12 months of his contract with The Old Lady, and the report claims that Arsenal could look to take advantage of his situation.
Vlahovic remains a target for Arsenal
It is even suggested that Arsenal could look to make a move for the Serbian striker as early as January, as Arteta and those in charge of recruitment look to bolster their attacking options.
Juventus are said to be struggling to make progress in negotiations over an extension to Vlahovic’s contract, and Arsenal could therefore look to take advantage of the player’s situation.
His representatives are said to be exploring the possibility of a move away from Turin, and Arsenal are one of a number of clubs that could be interested in signing the striker.
Vlahovic joined Juventus from fellow Italian side Fiorentina in January 2022, and he has since scored 50 goals in 117 games for the Serie A giants across all competitions.
The Serbia international has started the new season strongly for Juventus, netting nine times in 16 games across all competitions so far including three goals in the Champions League.
