Arsenal reach agreement with Euro 2024 star
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday when they face champions Liverpool at Anfield.Â
The Gunners’ hopes of winning the Champions League came to an end on Wednesday as they exited the competition at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
After a 1-0 defeat in the first leg at The Emirates, Mikel Arteta’s side lost 2-1 in the French capital meaning PSG progress to face Inter Milan in the final in Munich.
That means the North London side have once again failed to win a trophy this season, possibly putting pressure on Arteta.
Away from the action, it has emerged that the Gunners have reached an agreement with one of the stars of Euro 2024.
According to GiveMeSport, Arsenal have reach an agreement with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

The report claims that the 26-year-old is set to become Andrea Berta’s first signing since becoming the club’s sporting director.
Zubimendi, 26, has been in fine form for Sociedad over the past few seasons having progressed through the club’s youth system and into the first team.
In total he has played 232 times for the Spanish side across all competitions, but the report claims that he has now agreed to join the Gunners.
It is also claimed that the player himself was reticent to leave his boyhood club, however he appears increasingly likely to join Arteta’s squad ahead of the start of next term.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move to Zubimendi for some time now, and the London side are set to be in the market for a new midfielder with uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Jorginho and Thomas Partey.
Zubimendi has been capped 15 times by Spain at international level, inclduing an impressive performance during the second half of their final victory over England.
