Image: Hideo KojimaHideo Kojima was in Italy this weekend for the Lucca Comics & Games 2025 convention, a European twist on Comic Con.
But seeing as he was nearby, he stopped off at long-time collaborator Guerrilla Gamesâ office in Amsterdam, where he paused for photos with Sony bigwig Hermen Hulst and studio director Jan-Bart van Beek, among others.
Itâs unclear whether Kojima was visiting as a courtesy call or for business, but we suspect Decima may have been on the agenda as he begins work earnestly on PHYSINT.

We know the espionage action game, which will be published by Sony, is still very early in development â but the auteur will need to decide whether heâs going to continue working with Guerrillaâs tech or not.
His upcoming horror game OD, for example, will use Unreal Engine 5.
But Kojima has achieved incredible things with Decima in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and given the studioâs continued partnership with PlayStation, he may choose to build on that with PHYSINT.
Guerrilla will also be investing heavily in Decima as well, of course, with a third entry in the Horizon franchise likely deep in development now â as well as a long-rumoured multiplayer spin-off.
