Bagnaia clinches latest impressive victory in Misano Sprint race

Jorge Martin made an incredible start as he stormed to pole position off the line from Pecco Bagnaia, but the reigning world champion responded in a triumphant manner as he zipped past him in the final few laps. It was Bagnaia who eventually took the victory, and it sees him close the gap to Martin in the Riders’ Standings, reducing it to just four points.Francesco Bagnaia

Pecco Bagnaia prevailed in the Misano Sprint race after pulling away from championship rival Jorge Martin in the final moments.

Martin snatched pole position off the line from Bagnaia, but the reigning world champion picked up the pieces and stormed past him in the final few laps.

Marc Marquez managed to climb up to fourth after starting in seventh, but failed to overtake Enea Bastianini for the last podium slot.

Bastianini found himself setting the fastest lap and taking third place after holding off a speedy Marquez.

Bagnaia’s Sprint victory sees him close the gap to Martin in the Riders’ Standings, reducing it to just four points.
