Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen predictionsIt’s probably way too early to call this a Bundesliga title decider. But in the case of Leverkusen, if they lose, they will be six points behind Bayern.
Under the guidance of new head coach Vincent Kompany, Bayern have started the new season on fire.Â
Munich have won four from four in the Bundesliga. And they have also recorded big wins over Ulm (4-0) in the DFB-Pokal and Dinamo Zagreb (9-2) in the Champions League.Â
In the Bundesliga, Munich have scored 16 and conceded three. When you add in the two cup games, Kompany’s teams have scored an astonishing 29 goals in their six competitive matches this season (they have conceded five). Â
The chief contributors are Harry Kane and new signing Michael Olise. Kane has scored ten in six matches for Munich. He also managed a brace for England earlier in the month.Â
Michael Olise has five goals in his six appearances since his big money move from Crystal Palace. The French international also has three assists.Â
For Saturday’s fixture, Olise and Kane are set to be joined by Jamal Musiala and one of Serge Gnabry or Kingsley Coman in a ridiculously talented forward quartet.Â
As for Leverkusen, they will be buoyed by a 4-3 win over Wolfsburg last Sunday.
The defending Bundesliga champions twice found themselves behind to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Wolfsburg team. They required a 93rd-minute winner from Victor Boniface to secure the three points.
And it was a vitally important three points as well.Â
Leverkusen had already slipped three points behind Munich in the table. So heading to the Allianz five points adrift would have been a disaster in their quest to defend the title.
Earlier in the season, Leverkusen’s remarkable 35-match unbeaten league run was ended by RB Leipzig. The visitors recorded a 3-2 win at the BayArena on Matchday two. And this, after the champions went 2-0 up and were coasting to another win.Â
The loss also highlighted an early season problem facing Xabi Alonso.
Already this season, Alonso’s team has conceded nine goals in four Bundesliga matches. In their title winning campaign, their defence was breached just 24 times in 34 matches. That is some difference.
In the corresponding fixture last season the two teams played out a 2-2 draw.Â
But, this season things seem different.Â
With the way Bayern are scoring and Leverkusen is conceding, we expect plenty of goals. But we say Bayern will be scoring more this time around.

Bayern Munich to winHow often do we see Bayern Munich priced up at these odds at home?Â
Okay, Munich has a Champions League fixture away at Aston Villa on the horizon, but there is no way they are not going to prioritise a match against Leverkusen.
Vincent Kompany is still regarded as a managerial novice by some. His team has smashed everybody this season. But this will be the big win he craves. The win will give the ex-Burnley boss credibility in Germany.

A win for the Bavarian giants also sees them open up clear daylight between themselves and the defending champions.Â
Leverkusen won’t be easy to beat. But this feels like the right time to be playing them and we can see a win for Munich.
âš½ Back Bayern Munich to win at 7/10 with VBET âš½
Bayern over 2.5 goalsBayern have been scoring for fun this season, and Leverkusen have been letting in goals at an alarming rate.
As we’ve already mentioned, Munich has scored 16 in the league and 29 in all competitions.Â
Vincent Kompany has his team playing the brand of attacking football he tried to implement at Turf Moor, but simply didn’t have the players to do so.
Leverkusen has conceded nine in the league. They have the joint-fourth worst defensive record in the division. This, from a team who built their success last season on a solid backline.Â
The combined stats are a recipe for disaster for Xabi Alonso and his team. And unless they can somehow shore up their leaky defence, they are destined for a second Bundesliga defeat this season.Â
âš½ Choose Munich to score over 2.5 goals at 6/5 with VBETÂ âš½
Michael Olise to score or assistHarry Kane is getting all the headlines at Bayern this season for his ridiculous goal scoring feats.
That’s fair enough. But another player who has started the season in red hot form is Michael Olise. The former Crystal Palace player has five goal involvements in his four Bundesliga matches this season.
On Saturday he bagged a brace in the 5-0 demolition of Werder Breman. The wide man’s double were his second and third goals of the season. And he also contributed a further two assists to help the Bayern cause.
Olise is at the top of his game. He might find space and goals harder to come by against better opposition. But the sort of form the 22-year-old is in, we simply have to back him to continue his excellent run.Â
âš½ Tip Michael Olise to score or assist at 6/5 with VBET âš½
