Belal Muhammad releases AI-generated ‘diss track’ roasting former UFC champion and potential next title challenger

It’s an odd time to be a UFC fan; with the promotion’s newest champion releasing a ‘diss track’ with the help of generative AI that grills one of the division’s most respected superstars.

As UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad plots out his next title fight, ‘Remember the Name’ continues to call out the former ruler of the division, Kamaru Usman – albeit this time with a rather catchy tune.

The two men in Remember the Names’ crosshairs have been the ‘bogeyman’ of the division in Shavkat Rakhmonov, and former champion Kamaru Usman; with the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ being the one who’s received far more of the spotlight following UFC 304 in Manchester.

In fact, the feud between Usman and the new welterweight champion is so severe that Muhammad has just dropped an AI-generated ‘diss track’ grilling the former pound-for-pound best fighter in the UFC – lyrics below.

“Kamaru’s in the locker room, lacing up his worn-out gloves…
Thinking about that golden belt, and all his dreams of love…
He’s lost three fights in a row, his knees are giving in…
Leon dropped him with a headshot, left him wondering when…
Belal’s up there champin’ at the bit, ready for a fight…
But Kamaru feels aches and pains, deep into the night…
He’s got the heart of a lion, but his body is just a shell…
In the octagon of memory, he’s caught in his own hell.”

Usman himself has not yet responded to the ‘diss track’, although he did fire back at those ‘disrespectful’ fans who are claiming that he’s washed following three consecutive losses.

“We do these things [as champions], jump in and go, go, go to entertain the masses and of course, we get the benefits – but with all of that, comes a lot of injuries,” he told the Weighing In podcast.

“You stack up all these injuries over time, and it starts to diminish your performances to where people start to forget just how good you are… They start to say ‘Oh, he’s washed’ – how disrespectful are MMA fans? How disrespectful are they?!”

Unsurprisingly, the 18-0 ‘Nomad’ isn’t a fan of the idea of being skipped over, telling Submission Radio earlier this week how he can’t figure out the title aspirations of the former champion.

“I don’t know what he’s thinking about, I think it’s kind of shame to ask for a title shot after losing three fights straight. I cannot get my head around it, but it is what it is.”
