Do you need help laning against Lucian in League of Legends? Don’t worryâhere are the best champions to help you climb the LoL ladder.
Since his release, Lucian has been one of the strongest Bottom Lane champions in League of Legends, he has remained popular for many years both in solo queue and in competitive, where the famous âLucian + Namiâ combo still reigns terror on the pro-scene to this day. The question is, how can you stop Lucian in League of Legends? ESTNN brings you the three best counters to Lucian, along with the three worst champions you could pick into him.
Best Lucian Counters in LoL
Jinx
Jinx was a powerful champion in 2023 but fell off at the start of Season 14 due to the rise in lethality. Now that crit items are getting a buff, Jinx is starting to rise in popularity again and is expected to dominate at the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational. Lucian players will always look to be on the aggressive, as he does not scale as well as other ADCsâ. So when he dashes in, you can put your traps on the ground and either catch him out or force him to take an awkward route around them, meaning you can reply with damage to him. Jinx scales great into the late game, so while you may not have great kill pressure in the duel against Lucian, you will be far more powerful than he is come the late game team fights.
Draven
Draven is a champion you never really ban, but when he is played you wish you had banned him. Draven has insane damage from the get-go, and this damage will only increase over him. Lucian does not win the 1v1 battle against Draven once he uses his E, you are far too slow and contest his damage, and he or the support will likely run exhaust, making this lane for Lucian impossible to deal with. Try to make sure you have a support that can lock him down with hard CC, like Leona. Lucian will be forced to use his dash early, limiting the amount of damage he can do because his passive would be wasted.
Ashe
A simple yet effective champion, Ashe is one of the best champions to pick into Lucian on patch 14.7. As mentioned above, Lucian loves to be the aggressor in this lane because he doesnât really scale into the late game, so the only way for him is forward, which is a dream scenario for Ashe. Once the ultimates are online, Lucian will have a tough time going for aggressive plays simply because Ashes ultimate will lock him down, virtually guaranteeing a kill. On top of that, Asheâs auto attacks slow down enemies that they hit, so there is no way Lucian can survive an engage from Ashe without blowing all of their summoner spells just to try and keep himself alive.
Despite having CC that can lock Lucian down, Varus is statistically the worst champion right now to pick into Lucian, according to Mobalytics. This is because Lucian is able to do a lot of burst damage up close, while Varius is primarily a long-range poke champion and is too slow when an enemy is up close to them.
According to Mobalytics, here are the best champions to play with Lucian in League of Legends on patch 14.7. Please note that this article will be updated as new patches are released.
