How many online sportsbooks will launch in NC?The lottery commission can award up to 11 mobile sports betting licenses, and for each, the operator must partner with either a NC pro sports franchise, one of two NC golf courses that host a PGA Tour event, or a NC auto racetrack. Also, the two federally-recognized Native American tribes can partner with operators as well to offer online sports betting, meaning that theoretically there could be as many as 13 online sportsbooks in the state.
