Best Yone Counters In League of Legends

Do you need help to lane against Yone in League of Legends? Not to worry, here are the best champions to help you climb the LoL ladder.

Yone is one of the strongest champions in League of Legends, and one of the hardest to play against once he gets the ball rolling. Since his release, Yone has been a very tough champion to lane against, and many have found it difficult picking the right champions to play against him. So, how do you actually stop Yone? ESTNN is here to bring you the best three counters to Yone in League of Legends.

Best Yone Counters in LoL
Warwick
According to Mobalytics, Warwick has the highest win rate right now in League of Legends against Yone. Many people get caught off guard by how much damage Warwick does early. The benefit Warwick has is he can he quite comfortably, so make sure you go for as many trades as you can against Yone. As long as you dodge his ultimate, he isn’t a threat in the lane. Your advantage is that you can get around the map quicker, thanks to your trail. So if there is a fight in the river, Warwick should be able to make up the numbers quicker than Yone.

Renekton

Renekton is one of the safest picks you can choose against Yone in League of Legends. He is a great early game champion, and when he has his fury full, Yone does not stand a chance against him. The lane is pretty simple, stack up your fury and if he goes to engage onto you, either hold your stun for when he comes out of his E, or stun him at the start so he cannot inflict any damage onto you. Get some Grevious Wounds components if you wish to really punish Yone, this means he will not be able to heal as much as he would like to, and you can really try to blow him out of the lane.

Riven
This is a battle of patience if you are to select Riven to go up against Yone. The key to this lane is to whittle him down with short trades using your W and Q whenever he looks for a trade. Use your dash whenever he tries to knock you up, this will prevent you from taking damage while also getting a small shield. Try hold the way closer to your tower, freezing the lane will make it very difficult for Yone, a champion that is prone to ganks and will be forced to either flash away or use his ultimate, which is not the shortest of cooldowns.

Pantheon right now has the worst win-rate against Yone in League of Legends. If Pantheon does not hit his Q, it is very difficult for him to apply any meaningful damage onto Yone. All you have to do as Yone in this match-up is play around Pantheon’s cooldowns. His E can absorb a lot of incoming damage, so wait that out, and then make your move.

Sion is one of the worst champions to play against Yone in League of Legends. His kit pretty much counters Sion at all times and there is not much he can do in the lane to kill Yone. If Sion goes to charge his Q, Yone can do a couple of things, the first being using his E ability to dodge, the second being his Q to dash away. On top of that, Yone can easily break the passive shield on Sions’ W, meaning he will not be as tanky when trading. Sion also is quite a slow champion when the enemy is up close, whereas Yone can do a lot of burst damage before Sion can really strike back.

According to Mobalytics, here are the best champions to play with Yone in League of Legends on patch 14.6. Please note that this article will be updated as new patches are released.
