Bills sign doppelganger of famous comedian
The Buffalo Bills had issues int he punt game in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. Punter Brad Robbins averaged less than 40 yards per punt, which consistently set the Baltimore Ravens up with good field position. With that in mind, the Bills have made a move to bring in a new punter.
Per Tom Pelissero, Buffalo is signing veteran punter Cam Johnston.
“Veteran punter Cameron Johnston is signing with Buffalo, per sources,” Pelissero reports. “Johnston, 33, has appeared in 96 NFL games with three teams. Now he takes over punting duties for the Bills, who are waiving Brad Robbins.”
Johnston is well known on the field as a great punter, but even better known for sharing an uncanny resemblance to comedian Bill Burr. Johnston was signed by the Steelers in 2024, but was lost for the season in Week 1 due to a leg injury. The Steelers opted to keep Corliss Waitman this season.
