Borderlands 4 Fans Convince Dev to Add Combat Radar to the Game

Ready for launch on 12th September

Feedback from the Borderlands 4 community has led to Gearbox Software implementing a combat radar into the title’s HUD, despite how late into development the game is.

In a Twitter thread, CEO Randy Pitchford said that a group of lead figures and developers within the team set some time aside between their schedules to make “something amazing happen”. Their work creating a combat radar was finished in time to be included in the final build, meaning it’ll be there on day one from 12th September.

A combat radar has been a common feature in past Borderlands games, but up until now, Borderlands 4 has only included a compass on the top of the screen in its UI. Following fan feedback and a recent round of press previews, the radar will now be in Borderlands 4 too.
