Boxing referee punched and slammed out of ring by whole team as chaotic riot breaks out after fight
A boxing referee was violently attacked, punched and then tossed out of the ring in the Dominican Republic.
The action is always interesting in Santo Domingo, with a referee previously sucker-punching a referee in a show last year from the same region.

A referee was attacked in a violent mass brawl in the Dominican RepublicAnd it was all eyes on Shuan Boxing again, when a simply wild and barely believable incident broke out in the ring.
A referee was officiating the bantamweight showdown between Norbelto Jimenez and Marcelino Nieves.
The referee then proceeds to receive a right hand, as a furious member of the team charged into the ring.
He was then trapped in the corner cowering on the ropes, as a shameful gang of team members came over and battered him.

More and more members of the team came in and threw hands at him as he desperately tried to escape the violent beating.
As he began fleeing the ring, the punches continued to hit him as he was helpless.
Incredibly, the punches saw him shoved out of the ring at a violent pace, crashing into the floor.
He went flying and it is fortunate he wasn’t more seriously injured from the fall.
But despite escaping the ring, the beating continued with the team following him out and continuing to throw punches.

Wild scenes saw the referee badly beaten by a barrage of punchesThe violent and horrific scenes have been condemned by the boxing fraternity online, who simply couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
One wrote: “That’s awful. Anyone involved should be banned from the sport for life.”
Another agreed: “Barbaric. Horrible actions by these men.”
A fan commented: “None of them should be allowed near a boxing ring again.”
While another concluded: “That’s a seriously bad look for everyone involved.”
Boxing world champion Claressa Shields even reacted: “This is f***ing RIDICULOUS! This is sad!”

The wild scenes will likely be investigated with fans wanting those involved punishedIt is unclear if those involved will face disciplinary action, but it is likely they will be punished.
Wild incidents are becoming the norm in boxing, but the violent actions of so many are deeply concerning.
